I think I have a Zorn painting, how do I know it's genuine?
There are a lot of reproductions of Zorn paintings and also some faked ones. You can contact a large auction house that deals with fine art or a large gallery (National Gallery) near you, they often have expertise to see if a painting is genuine or not. If they are unsure they should be able to tell you who to contact. Here in Sweden the Zorn museum are the experts on this matter. www.zorn.se

Where will I find a buyer for it?
Expensive paintings are usually sold through auction houses.

What is its market value?
If you do have a genuine Zorn painting then you are very fortunate. His paintings are usually very popular and could raise up to 1.000.000 USD.

He is famous for his paintings of the people of Dalarna, the part of Sweden where he was born, and his nudes in the open space. He earned a world-wide reputation as a portraitist. He made seven journeys to the USA. His models included three different American presidents. In these pages you can see more than fifty of his most famous paintings.
